Tomato in the Mount

The mystery tomato plant chopper from yesterday's blog post was finally caught red handed, eh lipped??, this morning just after sunrise!! As suspected, a plump little cutworm was comfortably attached to the stem of the plant that he had once again munched in half. He put up a good fight trying to stay attached, but ultimately I won and his breakfast was brought to an abrupt end.

Now, with this poor plant having a second chunk chewed out of it, I've had to add even more dirt to keep it alive. I've also redone the coffee collar. My two Brandywines are pictured below, the "tomato in the mount" is the one the cutworm has been so found of lately!
