Garden Gone Wild!

We have just spent the last 2 weeks on a great road trip vacation back to Pennsylvania to visit friends and family. It was great spending time with family and friends and enjoying rural life, but I was a bit concerned with the garden's survival and if there would be enough rain to keep it growing. After all, it's getting hot down here and it wouldn't take much for everything to dry up and die. Fortunately, I got a little watering assistance from my Father-in-law and 2 inches of rain while we were away.
That was all the veggies needed to thrive in this summer heat. The tomatoes, potatoes and sunflowers have all grown vigorously. I was very happy to find 2 Amish paste tomatoes turning color and ready to pick. They turned out to be much larger than anticipated.
