We have gone high tech here in the backyard this fall! Since 2002 I have been keeping track of rainfall with the typical plastic rain gauge. After 4 years of blazing Florida heat and sun, the plastic has turned yellow making the gauge nearly unreadable. Soooooooooooooo, imagine my delight when Julie completely surprised me with a brand new wireless, self emptying rain gauge for my birthday. Its like she somehow knew my plastic worn out rain gauge wasn't making me happy anymore or she was tired of seeing me run out in the middle of a rainstorm to see how much rain had fallen. Either way its a great new upgrade to help me keep track of rainfall on the garden and I can check it from the comfort of indoors!!
Rain fall is collecting in the bucket then emptied out the bottom with the amount being transmitted to my indoor display complete with indoor/outdoor temp, time and date! All I need now is some rain!!!
