Isn't He Cute?

I had a great last couple of days with my daughter as she fought off her stuffy nose and touch of a cold she's had over the weekend. We worked hard at cleaning and washing mommy and daddy's cars this morning, went to ACE Hardware to refill the propane tank and get a nice 5 gallon plastic bucket for mommy.

Most recently, Olivia has been addicted to the swing set and swinging on each one of her three swings. She's very methodical about how this is done. Giving each swing equal time. So tonight as we wrapped up the day she had one more round of swinging as I inspected the tomato plants for those pesky little worms that loves everything about the plant, including the tomatoes themselves. As is often the case, I'll see some leaves with holes in them with a tiny little worm hiding underneath a nearby leaf.

Tonight was no different. I found a little worm and that means its time for more bug killer (organic of course)! But before I threw away the removed leaf and branch on the ground and did my little 'I found ya!' dance on top of the worm, thus ending his days of eating my plants, I thought it would be nice to show Olivia the worm.

I showed Oliva the worm, she looked closely at it and my daugher said "Aww, isn't he cute". I said yes he is now ask him to stop eating our tomatoes. She asked him nicely and I layed the branch on the ground at the edge of the conservation lot.

Soooooooooooooo, little worm laying in the backyard tonight eating away at the tomato leaf once attached to my garden peach tomato plant....thank those lucky stars above you that Olivia thought you were cute and this Daddy didn't have the heart to smoosh you to death in front of my still innocent amost 5 year old!!
