Windy Weather!

The lion of March came blowing through Florida last weekend with 2.58" inches of rain and wind gusts to 25 mph recorded in the Nicewinter backyard. It also came with some freezing temperatures just north of here. We bottomed out at 39! That was the strongest front of the season and likely the last as Spring is in the air here!!

The windy weather ruined our beach plans for Saturday afternoon as the Gulf of Mexico came crashing ashore with waves not typical for that body of water!! Attempts to sit on the beach were met with blowing sands!

The winds also shifted airplanes to Tampa International over our house as the east/west runway (27) was used. Too much crosswinds make for a tricky landing forcing the use of our shortest runway.

Anyone care to guess the name of the airline seen flying over our house??

I'll leave you with a video from the windy weekend!
