Looking Good!

The fall garden is well underway with pumpkins and cucumbers already in the ground and more to good veggies and flowers to come in the weeks ahead!

With just over a week since planting our record sprouting cucumber seeds, they continue to grow very well!

The pumpkin vines are also doing very well with flowers starting to appear on the vines.

Our radish and arugula seeds arrived this week and we'll be getting those in the ground very soon. I've decided to try arugula and some butter head lettuce this fall to make our "salad garden" complete! The lettuces will go nicely with our cukes and radish.

Edible flowers will make our organic garden complete this year as I will be attempting to grow Nasturtiums. This flower is said to be a great companion plant for pumpkins, squash and cucumbers. It's suppose to attract beneficial insects and is said to have been one of Monet's favorite flowers and one he used in his paintings. So, for Julie, I will be "planting" a Monet for her!!

Coming soon......details of our power lawn equipment upgrade and what we just had to replace!!
