Our long, cold record setting winter has finally ended and the garden couldn't be happier! With the warmer weather arriving it also means time to clean up the winter damage. This morning it was time for a little spring cleaning that included trimming of the browned palms and cutting down of the bougainvillea. Everything is showing signs of new growth and coming back to life including the bougainvillea which has fresh growth coming up from the bottom.
In the garden, our cabbage patch is picking up steam as nice heads are starting to form. Beats are growing nicely and the peppers are starting to flower. A third planting of radish growing quickly.
The now 2 year old blueberry plants are bursting with fruit and new growth resulting from lots of coffee grounds and pine soil mulch, at least that's what I believe. A new drip irrigation hose around the berry patch and azaleas is also having a noticeable effect.

Enjoy some pictures of the cabbage patch, blueberry plant and a full flowering azalea......
