Milestones

I celebrated a couple of rather significant milestones last week. The week started off with our 7 year wedding anniversary and to celebrated, I tried a new experience - The Melting Pot. The "MP" is a fondue restaruant, something Julie has tried before and liked. Its customary for us to do something cheesey on our anniversary, however, on some occassions we will manage to do something nice and sophisticated, like a weekend in St. Augustine last year. Being mooned by jet skiers a few years back on our night out with the Starlite Dinner Princess dinner cruise was definetly cheesey!

This year's celebration was one of those significant ones.....nice dark ambiance and food you cooked right in front of you in a boiling, hot pot! It was a new and exciting experience for me. The amibiance was perfect, nice and dark, and the melted cheese and chocolate was excellant, as was the meat course! And to make a nice evening even nicer, the florist next door delivers to the restaraunt for free, so, I asked them to deliver a few lillys to our table for Julie. Who knew they would have asked "what kind of lilly?" What would be the chances I picked the ones in our wedding? You guessed it, none! Either way they were nice! So stay tuned and see what we plan for next year!!

The Big 100......Towards the end of last week, my truck celebrated it's 100,000 mile anniversary! After having it for 8 years, it rolled over to all 0's with a single, solitary 1 on the very left side of the odometer. Its on a second set of tires (first ones went to 70K), a replaced clutch, new battery, alternator and fresh new ball joints last month. Maybe will keep it for Olivia to drive when she's able to!!!
