30 Second Fame

Through previous posts on both Julie's blog and my blog, everyone knows by now that October was our birthday month. So, its only fitting that we both get have our time in the spotlight, some international fame, if only for 30 seconds or less. And by international fame I am referring to Julie's beautiful voice being on the sound waves of Sirius satellite radio for the whole world to hear. It was really quite a moment sitting in the car and hearing her come across the radio, my wife echoing through the speakers of a Ford radio.

My fame was more of a local nature and seen only by those die hard public access television fans. I am, of course referring to the fireman's award dinner a few weeks ago. I've attached a picture of the event below.

So, we will say good by to October for another year and the fame that went with it. We will hope that next October brings another round of McDonald's monopoly and another chance for 1 million bucks or at least something more substantial than a free Mcflurry!!
